PDPConventionPHC: NASS members, people with disabilities vote Saraki

 People with special needs who were given 37 delegates to the
PDP National Convention ongoing in Port Harcourt have adopted Senate President Bukola Saraki, pledging to give him all their votes.
Sources at a meeting between the Saraki team and the special needs delegates said that the delegates declared that only Saraki had come to campaign to them so far and that they would give him their 37 votes.

Also, happening now, investigations have revealed that National Assembly members have also decided to give a majority of their votes to Saraki.

 A breakdown of the voting preference shows that 138 of the Federal Lawmakers have pledged to vote their president and former Speaker Aminu Waziti Tambuwal, who is also the Governor of Sokoto State is coming second on the NASS votes with 34 votes while former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is third with 28 votes.

NORTH East decides: North East delegates at the PDP convention have also decided with reports indicating that the zone will spilt its votes between Atiku and the Senate President.
 The decision is similar to what was decided by Delegates of the South East which earlier decided to share votes between the Senate President and Atiku. ozochima

South-East Delegates split between the Senate President and the former vice president North-East Delegates split between Saraki and Atiku. All North Central delegate caucuses are supporting Saraki.

2019: Agbaje will free Lagosians from servitude – PDP Chieftain

Lagosians have been called upon to rally round the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Mr Jimi Agbaje, in order to emerge governor and free Lagos from the stranglehold of servitude and oppression.

The call came from a PDP chieftain in Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, who lauded the emergence of Mr Agbaje as the Lagos State PDP governorship candidate in 2019 in a statement made available on Saturday in Warri, Delta State. ozochima

He said his at the PDP primary was a victory for Lagosians and Nigerians, adding that the pharmacist would emerge victorious as the state governor in 2019.

 Onuesoke, a former PDP governorship aspirant, enjoined Lagosians to vote en mass for Mr Agbaje, stressing that the end of APC and God-fatherism has come to an end in Lagos.

He urged Lagosians to break away from the norm and witness rapid development more than they could  imagine by rallying their supports for Agbaje.

Onuesoke maintained that several people are tired of the continued stranglehold of a godfather on Lagos’s politics which, he averred, has retarded development in the state.

He added that a little coordination with the angry and disappointed APC members in the state would see to the emergence of Jimi Agbaje as the next governor of the state.

“What Lagosans should understand is that Agbaje’s fortune of winning Lagos state is brighter now than it was in 2015.

“We can still remember that with APC solidly united, he narrowly lost to Ambode.

“Note that the Lagos APC is now in turmoil. Lagos State belongs to everyone,” vote en mass for Agbaje.
“I see him winning Lagos by a landslide. Please, we need your thumbs to make Agbaje the next governor of Lagos State. You will be happy you did,” the Delta PDP chieftain pleaded.

Davido arrives Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium for PDP national convention




- David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has arrived the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers state

- The stadium is the venue of the Peoples Democratic Party national convention

- The opposition party will be electing its presidential candidate at the convention today, October 6

Popular and award-winning Nigerian singer David Adeleke better known as Davido has arrived the venue of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national convention in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.

NAIJ.com gathers that the talented singer arrived Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, the venue of the national convention, where the party's presidential candidate will emerge for the 2019 general elections.

Recall that Davido played a role for the opposition party in the 2018 Osun state gubernatorial election by performing and winning the hearts of PDP supporters during the governorship rally prior to the election.

Apart from Davido's arrival at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, several events had taken place today, Saturday, October 6, at the venue of the convention.

A large turn out of delegates including a physically challenged man from Sokoto state characterised the convention.

The physically challenged delegate was seen waiting patiently for his turn during an accreditation before casting his vote.

Some of the delegates were also seen sleeping in vehicles parked within the open spaces around the venue.

 whatSimilarly, posters of the 13 aspirants jostling for the party’s presidential ticket at the convention conspicuously adorned streets leading to the stadium.

The aspirants are: Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; Senator Bukola Saraki; Ibrahim Dankwambo; Rabiu Kwankwaso; Aminu Tambuwal; Ahmed Makarfi; and Jonah Jang.

Others are: Senator David Mark; Sule Lamido; Atahiru Bafarawa; Tanimu Turaki; Datti Baba-Ahmed; and Stanley Osifo.

The presence of Nigeria police personnel and sister security agencies were also noticeable at the stadium gates and around the stadium to maintain law and order.
